SEO Search Specialist

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking SEO specialist who relishes a new challenge. We want someone who is passionate about digital (and in particular ecommerce), website analysis and search marketing.

You will be responsible for delivering our Search Marketing service to a range of clients of varying sectors and sizes. You will manage your own set of clients, collaborate with colleagues and have autonomy to advise and direct the digital marketing strategy for your pool of clients.

Applicants must have at least 3-5 years commercial experience of managing SEO for a range of SME clients in a multitude of sectors. You must also have experience in providing SEO for ecommerce clients.

You must be able to demonstrate how you have helped your clients to significantly improve their organic rankings and show ROI for SEO campaigns. You must also be proactive in making recommendations to clients on how they can improve their websites and increase conversion rates. This role will be Cheltenham based (in Tivoli) with an option to work remotely for part of the week if desirable, however we will also consider UK applicants who are looking for 100% remote-working if not local to Gloucestershire.

We have Client Account Managers who can handle client presentations and communications so you can focus on delivery of SEO.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Devise and manage client SEO strategies (i.e. 360 Search / Total Search).
  • You will be responsible for guiding the SEO performance of your clients and work collaboratively with them to improve their rankings and ROI from search. You must be proactive with your insights and suggestions.
  • Monitoring sites on a daily, weekly & monthly basis to ensure that SEO and AIO efforts are achieving the ROI targets for your clients.
  • Take an active part in and contribute to our SEO team and evolving our SEM service.
  • Delivering and developing our new AIO service to give our clients visibility in chatbots.
  • Share initiatives, best practices and results.
  • Keep up to date with the latest SEO trends and best practices.
  • Educate other areas of the business who indirectly impact SEO.
  • Keyword research.
  • Conversion rate optimisation.
  • Managing of client relationship including regular communication, meetings, calls, and presentations.

Ideal candidate:

  • Absolutely passionate about the internet and digital marketing.
  • Analytical mind-set with a strong ability for analysing data and user statistics.
  • Ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems.
  • Excellent understanding of traffic data and conversion analysis with experience in interpreting such data and providing insights to clients.
  • Seasoned at producing in-depth analysis and reporting on business KPIs.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills, ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects streams.
  • Confident communicator with excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Experience of delivering and monitoring digital marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement and lead generation.
  • Experienced in project and client management.
  • Personable and easy to work with.
  • Ideally Google Analytics Certified.
  • Experience setting up and working with GA4.
  • Proven track record of growing ecommerce sales and ROI.
  • Some experience with Google Ads would be a nice bonus.

Salary:

Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and level. Plus pension scheme and generous holiday.
